Black pencil, brown wash with white gouache highlights. 41 x 54 cm Insolate, numerous freckles, warping of the board. Provenance: - Château de Gros-bois (Seine et Marne) - Bequeathed to Augustine Gatebois in 1910 - Kept in the family. Our drawing is related to the painting The Abduction of Proserpine by Pluto kept in the Beaux-Arts of Paris (Inventory N° PRP 61) and for which Rémond won the Grand Prix de Rome for historical landscape in 1821.
