ITALIAN SCHOOL of the 19th century, after Guido RENI. Apollo and the Nine Muses after a Renaissance model. Oil on panel with gold background. 35 x 79 cm. Some wear. Presented in a large wood and gilded stucco frame with rich Renaissance-style decoration. 64 x 107 cm. Slightly missing. Remake of the composition by Guido Reni (1575-1642) frescoed for the ceiling of the Palazzo Rospigliosi Pallavicini in Rome.
