MILITARIA - ANTIQUE WEAPONS - HISTORICAL MEMORABILIA 1939-1945

The main part of this sale is made up of two collections, one from the CHARTRES region, assembled in the 1960s-1980s by Mr. P. for display in the Grenier de l'histoire museum in Lèves (Eure-et-Loir), which was intended to serve as a memorial and educational tool. This museum is now closed. The 2nd collection presented here was assembled for a memorial and educational museum project, but since the necessary funding has not been found, it has had to be dispersed. All the objects and documents illustrated here are intended for the education of younger generations, with a single historical aim in mind. The vagaries of time will not have allowed these projects to continue.
