Cavalry officer's saber with iron mounting, fluted marine ivory spindle, 3-pronged hilt, one main and 2 secondary, straight quillon, straight blade with hollow sides and gutter, counter-edge in last quarter. SF. L: 96 cm, blade: 81 cm. Late 18th-early 19th century. SF. ABE (oxidation on the blade) According to some authors this type of saber was carried by the officers of the territorial cavalry (Yeomanry) ENGLAND. Cavalry officer's saber with iron mounting fluted marine ivory grip, three-pronged hilt, straight quillon, straight blade with hollow sides and gutter. No scabbard. Late 18th-early 19th century. FC
