Modernist shape jug in pewter brassware with elongated spout and curved handle

Signed M. Daurat and monogrammed on the back.

Famous coppersmith, he exhibited at the Salons of Autonne and Artists Decorators from 1925. Sculptor as much as goldsmith, he executes forms raised with the hammer entirely worked with the hand and claims himself of the old tradition of the potters of tin.
