Gilt bronze and patinated BORNE HANGER featuring a vestal effigy, the bollard surmounted by a bust of Minerva. White enameled movement signed L. Ravrio bronzier à Paris. Empire period. H : 57 cm (worn patina). Louis Stanislas Ravrio (1783-1846) joined Antoine-André Ravrio in 1811, first as a clerk, then as an associate. Notarized deeds attest to his trusting and affectionate relationship with his master. In 1824, he bought his own business. He won a silver medal at the 1819 Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie and continued in business until 1840.
