FULCANELLI. Handwritten letter in blue ink. 2 A5 sheets with signature. The letter ends as follows: "the presentation is complete. It is monsieur, one of the sons of the Sun, child of Elijah and disciple of Wisdom, who greets you, hopes that you will be able to understand him and thanks you for having paused for a moment on his obscure personality". The handwriting on these documents differs from the dedications to René Schwaller de Lubicz, Jules Boucher, or Eugène Canseliet, signed Fulcanelli (these attributed to Julien Champagne). 2 A4 sheets with envelope. Fulcanelli has never been identified and remains a mystery, with several hypotheses put forward concerning the person hidden behind this pseudonym. Very few of his books remain, and a few rare autographs or dedications (but in a different handwriting). Letter certainly addressed to Pierre Noël de la Houssaye, but the envelope is missing. A poet and magician, De la Houssaye was a lifelong preoccupation with the Invisible, a keen genealogist and a medium in his spare time. NB: photo of an extract from the lot Expert: François Jullien
