KOBIS & LORENCE: Bamboo and brass two-light floor lamp. - Lot 123
KOBIS & LORENCE: Bamboo and brass two-light floor lamp. H: 170 cm (cracked bamboo) Kobis & Lorence, publishers and designers of lighting fixtures active in France in the 1950s, distinguished themselves with a bold approach in which the luminaire became both a source of light and a sculpture. Their style, part of the Mid-Century Modern movement and open to Space Age inspirations, combines geometric rigor with formal fantasy.
