MESFIOUA Culture, High Atlas, Morocco. Iron, silver, yellow copper, wood, aged patina. Two antique, slightly curved “Koumya” daggers with sheaths featuring “peacock’s tail” pommels. The koumya is much more than a simple dagger; it is a true symbol of identity and social status in Morocco—not merely a weapon but also an accessory in men’s attire. Lengths: 39 cm and 40.5 cm. (One of the daggers has its blade stuck in the sheath.)
